Re: 4004Cii Trust Rod Replacement and Custom Paint
Thanks for the help. Thanks for the number Rickbrother. I think the way to replace the rods is with the routing and I too think the plate would look great. I'm not afraid of making this a custom Rick as I own 12 other stock Ricks and this one would become personal.

Re: 4004Cii Trust Rod Replacement and Custom Paint
The rod broke at the top where the hex bolt is located. During a neck adjustment, it just snapped off. I even tried to maybe grab one thread of the remaining end and tried to get the adjustment nut to catch, but once that nut is gone, the tension of the neck sucks some of the rod back into the neck.

4004Cii Trust Rod Replacement and Custom Paint
I have a 4004Cii that needs the trust rods replaced. The rod hex top snapped off at the adjustment spot on the headstock. I have the replacement rods, but I also have the 4004Cii that has the neck pickup that sits about an inch off of the neck butt. I know it has to be routed out to replace the rods...

Re: Rick Sighting
Chuck was at the gig, in the audience last night. He is battling Prostate Cancer. I wish him the best. He has played some great bass lines.

Rick Sighting
Rick Brothers,
I saw Kansas, Foreigner, and Styx last night in LA. The show was fantastic from all bands. Ricky Phillips from Styx played a Black 4003 on a few songs and it looked and sounded great. If anyone has a chance to see this show, go and enjoy.

Red Neck
Dear Forum, I'm interested to know if anyone out there who owns a Redneck wants to sell it? I am very interested because I have a Blackstar and a Tuxedo that are mint and would love to have the Trinity. I hope I'm not asking this question in the wrong place. Long live Rickenbacker basses and their p...

Joey Vasco,
Is your JetGlo Cii stock, or did you have it refinished by someone? Just curious, because it shines like a diamond.

Re: 4004Cii Cheyenne Trustrod Problem
My Luthier, John Wescott, is willing to tackle the job, and I don't mind, at all, the routing pictured in Jeff Scott's old Cii. It looks kind of cool, and, as mentioned, it will be easier to replace a trustrod if it goes bad again. My problem is finding the parts. I've checked all the resources ment...

Re: 4004Cii Cheyenne Trustrod Problem
Ricksquad, The pickup is about an inch from the neck. I wouldn't be able to do the work myself, so if anyone could recommend someone in the L.A. area. that would be great. You guys do some amazing work on your Ricks. Pluging it in and changing the strings is about as far as I get. Joey, that paint j...

Re: 4004Cii Cheyenne Trustrod Problem
Thanks Joey. Those are excellent suggestions. I'll probably have to wait till after the holidays, but you've placed me on the right path. If I run into trouble, I'll try and get in touch with you. I appreciate you offering your help.

4004Cii Cheyenne Trustrod Problem
Dear Rick Brothers The top adjustment nut on the right trustrod (the rod that runs under the G and D strings) has broken off. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do to get it fixed? I'm ready to send it anywhere. I love this bass and want it nursed back to good health. The bass is a Model ...
