Re: YOUR Signature Model
Simple - I guess it would be called a 670/12MB (a 3 pickup 660/12 in Montezuma Brown).

Looks better on. Feels better on. And won't get lost if you leave it on.
There's really, no reason to take it off - hey, it's a Ric, not a Tele!

Re: Forumite Rickenbacker Fretless Bass Guitar Count
Very late to this party, but very glad to be here. It's my first Ric FL. Just got it - an '05 4003FL MB. I don't think it's been represented here on this thread until now...

Re: Byrds IN THE STUDIO CD
I bought the set roughly when it was released in 1994 - through an ad in "Goldmine", if I recall correctly. Can't recall the vendor. I suspect the set would be pretty rare/hard to come by these days...bowser2533 wrote:Where can u get the 9 cd byrds journals set at? Gary

Re: Fake TRC?
12 string nameplates are always scooped like that so that they clear the slots in the peghead. This example is typical, although I can't swear to its authenticity. It could be OK but it's hard for me to judge by pics alone. That's why I'd always buy from a trusted source. Interesting - for whatever...

Just won this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/220865829737?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Anybody ever heard of it? This is essentially the 9th CD in the Byrds Journals 9-CD collection. I don't think there are any vocals, just backing tracks from their first two albums, plus variou...

Re: Rickinroma in Beijing, China
I travel to Beijing every 18 months or so to visit the in-laws (my wife is a Beijing native) and to lecture in the law school at Beida (Peking University). Haven't ever seen a Rickenbacker in any of the music stores I've visited there (frankly, I've seen mostly traditional Chinese instruments - gu z...

Re: Why are Mapleglo guitars cheaper?
M experience has been that for models which are generally produced in JG and other finishes, the JG versions seem to command a bit less $$$ on the used market as compared with comparable guitars in say MG or FG, very possibly due to what I believe is the factory practice of selecting some of the mor...

Re: My Rickenbacker 325V63
And to think - in just 2 short years, more time will have elapsed between its production and the present, than between the production of the original and its production. Time marches on and, as it does, even reproductions/reissues can, in their own right, gain an element of "vintage" statu...
