Hey Crisp - that’s great to know and thanks. I just measured mine at the first fret (lazily leaving the strings on) and it’s 0.85” or 2.2cm so deduct a bit for the low E. How do you know the neck widths by year? Is there a site to see this?

Re: 300 series return to 21 frets
I’d love to know more about the new neck profile. Does anybody know if it will be a fuller neck (it’s hard to get them thinner), and if so, the first fret specs and shape details?
I’m increasingly finding that neck profile is my key to enjoyable playing. I love my 330 but a fuller, rounder neck is ...

Re: Explaining the unique sound of the 360v64
Can anyone confirm if the Ric played on the right is a 360v64? Curious because of the R tailpiece and high gain pick ups. If it’s not, what is it?

Re: Top Rickenbacker Songs
Ye Gods... Have I missed it or has no-one yet suggested a Creedence song? What about Born On The Bayou, Suzie Q, Put a Spell on You, etc. The live footage from Royal Albert Hall and Woodstock also shows some wonderful soloing by John Fogerty on his 325 (soloing being the subject of another thread ...

Rickenbacker Guitar Strap
I'm looking for a black Rickenbacker guitar strap. An online search has just told me two things:
1. Cheaper options from US stores can't be purchased because of the licencing arrangements restricting their sale oversease, so it's the same as trying to buy a new Ric from there; and
2. The Australian ...

Re: Loose Bridge on a 330
Thanks. I suspected as much once I'd calmed down. While I normally lay it down to re-string it, I did it yesterday with the guitar sitting upright. I got a shock when I lightly bumped the bridge and the whole thing tilted forwards [I didn't have much string tension on the new strings at the time ...

Loose Bridge on a 330
Hi all,
I was re-stringing my 330 tonight and the bridge has come off. The four screws supporting the bridge just seem to sit in recessed holes which aren't threaded. So while the strings are loose, the bridge wobbles in its place, and it just doesn't seem right. Perhaps I've just never noticed it ...

Re: Buying A Ric From Overseas
Well, the deed is done.
It's funny. I always imagined myself with a jetglo 330 hanging on my wall... partly for ease of getting to it for a strum around the house, partly because the instrument itself is a work of art and representative of such fabulous music.
But two weeks ago, after a month of ...

Re: Buying A Ric From Overseas
Thanks! I sent a few emails to US stores yesterday, and while a couple said they were prevented from sending new Rickenbackers to Australia, several others didn't seem to have such a problem.
The issue of freight is intriguing. Quotes vary from $175 with the USPS [thanks for your advice regarding ...
