Re: Top Thirty 12-String Guitar Songs of All Time

I think "The Waiting" is a must. An iconic riff at the heart of a great pop song.

I did it while playing along with the DVD, but I agree it is a pain in a world that doesn't have much use for the keys of C# and F# major. And I'd rather play in standard than use a capo to get there ...

Re: 370/12 VP vs 360/12v64?...or neither...

I wound up with a fantastically sweet deal on on a stock 2003 Fireglo 370/12 from Willie's American Guitars in St Paul, MN...and I have absolutely no complaints! I have been watching the McGuinn DVD obsessively and trying to get my sea legs. I've almost worked up the gumption to change the strings ...

Yesterday I pulled the trigger on a used FG 370/12, which should arrive next week. I am deliriously happy and am sure I will pester you all with questions and solicitations for advice on mods etc.

Selective Toaster Installation

So, let's say you've got a 370/12 with Hi Gain pickups. You can't afford to upgrade to three toasters all at once . In what order do you replace them if the goal is to maximize jangle?

Thanks!

Oh, Manta...I was all ready to walk down the aisle with the v64 and now you've made me look over my shoulder at the 370...and the McGuinn DVD has left me smitten too. But yes, a good problem to have...
