Flat wound strings have long life, smooth feel and warm sound. Some musicians prefer flat wound strings to reduce the aggressive sound of Rickenbacker. Roverandom is my band that I use my 4004cii bass on the records. The songs are mainly comes from our improvisations. We just plug and play. Nothing big about it.
