Re: New Owner

Try a Vox AC30 VR (valve reactor). Fraction of the price of a full tube amp but they still sound superb...much better than my Fender Super Champ

Re: New JangleBox pedals

When will they become available in UK stores. ( I'm not sure how ordering from UK to USA works- regarding sterling and dollars and if it would be worth it with the shipping costs etc)

Re: New JangleBox pedals

From what I can gather (I could be wrong) the JB3 and the noise suppressor will be for sale in about 3 weeks and will then appear on the website

Re: Sure Wish There Was Something New

I agree about Rics website, that is very stagnant, uninspiring and lifeless. It's only a small gripe but I didn't understand why Ruby became a standard color either. I know nothing about business but with the backlog, why can't they invest in a new factory with some new workers? I know it's probably...

Signature models

How many signature Rics has there been (guitars) and how many are produced or does it vary for each artist. I believe Pete Townsend was the first one with only a couple of hundred produced but how many have there been since then? (would like to see the Roger McGuinn model reissued especially as the ...

Ric Colors (Colour UK spelling!)

Do Ric concentrate more on any one color than another...i.e I believe there are five standard colors, JG-FG-MG-Mid Blue-Ruby....So if they are making 330's for example, would it be a five way split (20% each) or not?........Just curious.

Re: Super shifter

I wouldn't play the shifter on its own. It has to be with some chorus and compression. Also, the speed control has to be set really low (slight turn clockwise and that's it) otherwise it does sound artificial. It's like salt on food. A little bit is great. Too much or on its own and it would sickly ...

Re: Sure Wish There Was Something New

It's human nature to want something new and there's nothing wrong in that but I suppose i'm boring in that respect. I just love the 'standard' 330's and 360's (JG & MG) :D The only people I have ever seen in 'real life' using a Ric is Peter Buck and Roger McGuinn and even now when I see someone ...

Re: contacting Roger

dumb question but, why would anyone want to contact McGuinn? or MCartney for that matter? these people live in a prison called "Fame", they have bodyguards and stuff like that. They live a life of "fear". Being not-famous is not so bad when you think about it, nobody car...

Re: Those were the days!

Wonder what it would be like if everything, for just one day a year, went back to 1985 prices. Restaurants, shops, aeroplane flights, hotels, etc as well as guitar and amp prices. Of course there would be a limit of one item per person and things like modern day laptops - cellphones etc couldn't be ...
