Re: Timeline for BT models?
The '86 had the nicest yellow tint to it after 20 years. Mike in TX My '92 MG/BT has turned the most gorgeous amber shade. I love looking at it almost as much as I love playing it. Side note, I felt sort of old when I first got my hands on my 360 and looked at the black Schaller mini's. "Made ...

Re: Is something wrong with this 360?
The case is one you want to hang onto--it appears to be the original case. These were very sturdy. The end crack could be easily repaired. Having had this guitar a little while now, and having completely fallen in love with it, it's definitely a G&G case -- or at any rate it's constructed almos...

Re: Finish checking on '92 360
Checking on older instruments Is just "one of those things" IMO. Some guitars get it, others don't. It's just another aspect of the character of that particular instrument. Oh, BTW, it is difficult to capture checking in a photo. 8) This particular 360, like a lot of the Mapleglo guitars ...

Re: Finish checking on '92 360
Finish checking is normal. It just happens with the changing of temp and humidity and doesn't hurt the guitar. Some people don't like it but I think it adds character. :) If you hate it you can have the guitar refinished; that's the only cure. Oh, I like it. I love guitars that have been "rode...

Finish checking on '92 360
I just got this beautiful 1992 360 from Olivia's. (The Olivia's listing says 1991, the Register says 4/92. I'm just going by the Register's date.) It plays beautifully, and sounds crisp and full through my AC15 -- it's my dream guitar. It's everything I love about my 620, except it just sounds... bi...

Do we know what percentage of all Ricks are now in the register?

Re: Is something wrong with this 360?
I work for the Salvation Army, and I'm having it shipped to work, so I'll probably have to explain the case's, uhh, "decorative pattern" They will ship it to you in a box, no worries. Oh, it'll definitely come out of the box at work. I'd go crazy if I knew a 360 was sitting in a box and I...

Re: Is something wrong with this 360?
Well, I'm eternally grateful for y'all telling me to just call them and talk to them about it. I bought it! Got a pretty sweet deal on it, if I do say so myself. I work for the Salvation Army, and I'm having it shipped to work, so I'll probably have to explain the case's, uhh, "decorative patte...

Re: Is something wrong with this 360?
Talked to Olivia's. The pictures were taken pre-setup and it was set up for slide. whew. I just need my Strat to sell, and this puppy's coming to my house. Case is a beater, but according to Olivia's it's functional, just kinda ugly.

Re: Is something wrong with this 360?
Don't be gun-shy about Olivia's. They are good guys with a great reputation as straight-shooters. Do as Erik suggests. Call them and ask questions. A Rick of this vintage is not commonly known for having the same neck reset issues as 360s from the 1960s. Usually you'll see the bridge cranked way do...

Timeline for BT models?
I haven't been able to find info on how long the black hardware/black trim guitars were made. I assume it was from around the mid 80's to the early 90's? Those seem to be the only years I see them from. Are there exact records for this kind of thing?

Re: Is something wrong with this 360?
Check what return policy the seller has, and good luck, it's a lovely guitar! No returns or exchanges. It's from Olivia's. I've never dealt with them before. Looking in the register, this thing's been on sale since May. I'm getting a weird vibe on this one :? This picture sort of makes me question ...
