Re: Rickenbacker 1993Plus Replacement Tuners

Let me know how the replacement tuners work for you. Schaller used to be a quality driven outfit, but since it was sold in 2006 things have definitely changed - especially in relation to the vintage tuners. We have found another "Kluson" style vendor as of about 2 months ago and we feel t...

I would go with the ones that feel conmfortable and adjust tone in the output. It's all in the feel.

Re: 360/12 New Strings - Truss Rod Adjustment?

Final question. As far as truss rods go, should I loosen the strings until I put the new, lighter set on, or is it okay to leave this much tension on the neck? Will it bow back once lighter strings are on it? Thanks!! If it bothers you, just loosen the low E and the A. Those are the strings you hav...

Hey there. Been lurking around a bit and this topic was just too close to my heart, had to chime in. Things are very good overall. Hope all is well with you.

Re: Roger McGuinn 370/12RM without E1?

My first one was A1 9796. This was the 11th built, in FG, and had no E1 option. Many of the earliest built did not.

The info on the limited production window is correct. It was November of 1999, IIRC.

Re: Seeking advice about 330/12's

Most 2000 RICs will have High-Gains. The factory did offer a VP (Vintage Pickup) option at the time, and you will also find many who have added the toasters to their RICs. I am looking right now for a guitar that I recently saw that I thought was sublime. Hang on....ah, here we go! http://miami.crai...

Re: 360-12 without strings

No, Rosie is with someone else. I'm doing good, just really busy. I just finsihed up a project to put up a Victorian Street clock in my hometown so things have eased a bit. Good to stop by.

Re: Seeking advice about 330/12's

That's a great question. Most people would assume that all fairly modern Rickenbackers are roughly the same. It's my experience that they are not. I have played a lot of 330/12s and 360/12s, and it's just my opinion, of course, but if you are looking for a non-vintage piece, the best years to buy ar...

Re: 360-12 without strings

I left the strings off of "Rosie" for over a YEAR as I attended to other matters. It did not affect the neck at all. She set up beautifully afterward.

Unusual combination

This guitar has a CNC-cut body (you can tell by the upper horn) but has a narrow "skunk stripe" in the neck and the Schaller "script logo" tuners. I have onky ever seen those tuners on model year 1995 guitars, and i have only ever seen CNC-cut bodies with the neck with the wider ...

Guitar has arrived. In less than stated condition, but at this point I consider myself lucky I got anything at all.

Thanks all for your support.
