Headstock

When did Rickenbacker start using the large headstock on the 330's and 360's? I love the old small headstock and would like to get a answer? Early 1970's?

I agree with Tony, there is room for only one Chief in the tribe. Since the question of democracy was brought up by Dane, remember the GW is OUR Commander in Chief.

Bound neck w/ dots

I passed on the 360CW and have decided to order either a 330 or 360 in BBR. Here is my dilemna -- I really like the neck binding on the 360, but like the dots on the neck of the 330. I know that there is not a Rick "Custom Shop", but has this combination every been produced except on the Lightshows ...

I would like the following:

- 360v64 in BBR
or
- 1997 in BBR

I know that this won't happen but I can wish.

Thanks for your input, it appears that everyone has had nothing but glowing reviews of their respective 360CW. This particular 360CW is $1500, so I think that it is a fairly good deal. Thanks again.

Calling Carl Wilson Owners!

I have an opportunity to pick up a 360CW in Jetglo that is in mint condition at a good price. Here is my question, are they worth the extra money over a standard 360? I like the features (21 Fret, full width inlays, toasters, thin top, etc...) but is this guitar really worth the extra money? I do ...

Green Glo @ Ed Roman's

I am interested in the Green Glo 330 or 360 at Ed Roman's. Is this a special run just for Ed or is this a refin by Ed? I called them and the guy on the phone did not know and told me to call back. I have heard mixed issues regarding Ed, but the color on that guitar has me thinking of taking my ...

Rick Relic

As a new owner of a JG 360, I wondered if anyone has a Rick that has a "Relic" finish. By this I mean a guitar whose finish and hardware shows wear and tear and use. As a longtime Fender player, I know what will happen to any Fender product, buy I've never seen a Rick that shows excessive wear. I'm ...

Great story and restoration work. I remember reading a guitar mag in the mid 1980's and the "centerfold" was a 331 and I have been fascinated by them since. I just keep thinking that if I were to spurlge and buy one then I would play better. Kenny, does it work this way? BTW, is the neck on your 331 ...

I went into my local Guitar Center yesterday to check out their assortment of Ricks and found that the only one they had in stock was a 325. The salespeople referred to it as the P.O.S. Rick! However, I did get a bargain from them yesterday -- I bought a brand new Gibson Dove Elvis guitar for $935 ...

21 or 24 frets

I am new to the forum, I have been lurking for quite a while and am finally ready to buy a Rick. My question is does Rick currently or have they in the past made a guitar in the 300 series with 21 frets? I know that the 620 and some of the vintage reissues come with 21 frets, yet their "main ...
