Thanks for the pictures! The Laney amps look cool. Nice to see the Hags and Hofners too.

Re: loosening strap button

On another forum someone suggested plumber's Teflon tape. I suppose that's if there is still threading in the wood. The felt washers could be helpful as well.

Re: Buy 4003 or 4003s and say why

Those sorts of decision tend to be made on a case by case scenario. Rickenbacker basses are fine looking in either form and you just never know what's going to speak to when you pick one up and play it.

Re: TR35B Amp for Sale $425/obo

I had one of those. Really nice sounding amp. But It was sold on the path to an Ampeg SB12, a truly great and continually inspiring practice/rehearsal amp, as long as it doesn't need to be moved! Best of luck on your quest.

Re: Remember Amplifier Courtesy Outlets?

Just saw this; I hope you're enjoying your Cambridge Reverb. Thomas solid state? I still have mine, pretty minty. It sounds great! I learned about eqing mine when comparing it next to a drip face Princeton. I think the designer was really going for the UK Vox sound in that when the tone controls are...

Re: 4003 new features for 2022

Congratulations on your new Rickenbacker! Their redesigned bridge is a knock out, especially since they retained the mute. I’m not clear about the truss rod in yours, but in my experience, moving to a single dual action truss rod seems like an improvement from the one used previously. Swapping out t...

Re: New guy here...

Welcome new guy. Lawsuits are not fun. I'm not a lawyer and avoid wearing suits whenever possible. I never divorced and so can't speak to that (more lawyers and suits!). New beginnings can be a fantastic thing though, and I wish you the best. Hope you can manage to have a Rickenbacker around; just h...

Los Lobos Tomorrow Never Knows

Not a Rick in sight, but still a nice rendition of a great Beatles song:

I can see it, now. Someone getting into a car for the first time to learn how to drive.
