Actually, I read somewhere that his Rick was originally fireglo (red sunburst), but he later had it repainted white.

Here are 2 photos of me playing 2 different Ric basses (not mine, unfortunately): at home playing a friend's 1978 4001 bass and at Sam Ash Music in New York City playing a 2010 4003 bass.
