R.I.P. Pat DiNizio
Rest In Peace to the lead singer and guitarist of one of my favorite bands growing up. And they’re also big Rick guys.

Re: After market parts?
Welcome. This is a great resource for those of us who like to talk about Ricks.
Personally, I love the stock tuners on my 360-6, and in fact it stays in tune so well, I sometimes don't even need to adjust it after it's been in the case for weeks or longer. Almost equally as good as my electrics ...

Good personal financial planning books?
Would love a recommendation on a good informational book/-s re: financial planning, retirement, college funds, IRAs, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etc. for a liberal arts major seeking to understand the nuts and bolts of it all. Not above "for dummies," but looking for other suggestions, too.

Re: Ricky cases
My mind was all made up on the vintage cases (that silver is gorgeous), until I read what Mr. Hall himself wrote over on the corp. forum - that when Rickenbacker has to take the original frying pan guitar (worth a million dollars) anywhere, like overseas, it goes in one of the newer plastic cases ...

Re: Found my 360 Stolen 17 Years ago
I hope I can have a similar story about my Tele one day - but then again, if it hadn't been stolen, I wouldn't have bought my Rick.

Re: Hi-Gain changes
It continues to baffle me when Rickenbacker's standard pickup, the Hi-Gain, is referred to as the "new" one - or the inherent snobbery when it comes to these ("I read on a forum you should immediately swap those out for toasters blah blah blah").

Re: Pickup swap
If you have a 250 kohm tone pot, and you want to find out what minimal effect it will have on the tone to use a 500 kohm pot instead, you can take loose the lug that is soldered to ground and insert a 250 kohm resistor between the lug and the ground.
I don't doubt you're right on the money on this ...

Re: Pickup swap
I've always wondered if a pot change (250k to 500k) was necessary for a S/C to H/B p'up swap.....assuming the stock pots are 250k.
Just learned they're 330k. Hmm.... never knew that. So would a 330k to 500k pot change be necessary if going from single-coils to humbuckers? What pots does RIC use in ...

Re: Guitars w/ 3 Pick-Ups
The only 3-pickup guitar I think I'll ever own is a Strat. Still love my Strat, but don't want three pickups on any other guitar.
I believe JH's comment was something like this: Since the front two pickups (neck and middle) on a 334/370 are both on at the same time when the p'up selector is up ...
