Re: Craig Witty R.I.P.
I am so sorry to hear of Craig's passing, and realize it was almost a year ago. Getting ready to sell my Ric 12 string that I got from him, and searched for his site. I am shocked and saddened. As all the previous posts said, great guy and a big loss. RIP

Robert-
I read all the postings in your thread as I was researching what everyone was saying about modding the nut. Great info there. Good luck with your mod. Here are photos (from an earlier thread):

new nut, set-up, janglebox = heaven
I had my luthier cut a nut with wider string spacing for my 370/12 and I cannot believe how much of a difference it made. It's like playing a different guitar. With a setup and janglebox, ahhhhhhh!

Thanks everyone for the RIC love. She's over at my luthier for a setup and new nut, to improve the string spacing.

Re: 370/12 nut help
Thanks everyone for the help. I had searched for info here prior to posting, which was how I learned that getting a wider nut was an option. Paul, my 370 is from '99 and is the narrower spaced nut. Taking the guitar to my luthier tomorrow and I'll see what he says as well as finding the nut from the ...

370/12 nut help
Been really enjoying my white 370/12, but fretting at the nut is an issue. I've read that I can get a wider nut which seems to be a help to many. Where can I get the wider replacement? Tried to look within the site here but my access is restricted since I don't have enough postings. Never had that ...

NGD - 370/12 white-on white
I just received my '99 370/12 that I got from Craig Witty. Wow what a beautiful instrument. She sounds and looks just beautiful. Can't wait to bond some more. As some of you have mentioned, it takes a little while to get used to the narrow neck and additional string combo. Regardless, the sound ...

Newbie to RRF and soon to be Ric owner
Hi all-
Just joined as I await my first Ric in the (hopefully) next few days. It's a '99 370/12 VP. Although I have played guitar for a few decades (couch picker - not gigger) I hadn't played a Ric until this morning. I went over to a local Guitar center and played a 330/12 and a 360/12. Oh that ...
