Fender Rumble 100! Light, inexpensive, sounds good. And looks good to boot.
And congrats!

A Rickenbacker pen with case
Hi. I bought a Ric 4003v63 once, and in the case was this. I haven't seen or heard of a Rickenbacker pen before or after - can anyone shed some light - when did Rickenbacker make these? Both the case and the pen is wooden, and the logo is cut into the wood, not painted. Cool thing to have, and it wo...

Re: Just blew me away.
GREAT tone, but that bassline is way too busy, IMO. It sticks out in an annoying way.

Re: how do I install truss rods in my 4001 c64 reissue?
I did this to a v63, it was pretty straightforward. I mean, just pull the old ones out and put the new ones in. Might be a good advice to put a light layer of grease or vaseline on the new ones to reduce friction. Some say you should bend the rods before installation, others say keep them straight. ...

Re: 4001v63 trussrod wrench
So the right way to adjust 4003 rods is the 4001 way now, according to the CEO himself? Or is he talking about the 4001?

Re: 4001v63 trussrod wrench
Go the epoxy route, Geir, it works! Good luck, let us know. Pix would be nice.. Btw, I made this steel copy of the aluminum spacer that was so messed up. The factory ric replacement rods were a little shorter than the originals, and I epoxied a little higher than was actually needed, anyways, I've g...

Re: 4001v63 trussrod wrench
Btw, how did you avoid fill the channels when filling up with epoxy? Good question. I guess there's many ways to get the job done, here's how I did it: I used rolled sheets of paper to close the channels. Put them some 3 or 4 cm down the channels, just so they sit tight and firm. Some clear tape is...

Re: 4001v63 trussrod wrench
Hei Geir!
If your new rods are standard ric, they already have the heat shrink tubes from factory.
If you're having some made from steel stock, I'm not sure if it would matter if you taped them or not. You could always try and see what happens.
Good luck sorting things out!

Re: 4003 Truss Rod issue
Same issue here. I'm just about to install new rods in my v63. I'm not sure if I want install them straight as they come or add some curve to them. Would be nice to read some more opinions on this before I do the job. BTW, there's some discussion on this issue here (at the end of the thread): http:/...

Re: ANY (ROCK BAND) BEATLES SONG. ISOLATED TRACKS!
I've had much fun listening to those isolated bass tracks. To me, Paul is one of the best bass players of all times - that he's human after all, is evident in the OH DARLING track, don't know if you noticed. Listen at 0:53 (misses root note), 1:17, 1:29, 1:50 and 3:06.. Not my intention to bash Paul...
