Re: 300 series return to 21 frets
Has anyone else with one of these run into finish issues? I bought a 330 a few months ago, and its finish is very, very fragile. Much more so than the other ricks I've owned. Removing the truss rod cover took off a chunk (thankfully hidden under the cover), and I'm getting finish checking around the ...

330 neck gap
I recently picked up a 330w and enjoying it so far, but there seems to be a relatively large gap at the neck joint. I can't help but be bothered by it. Should I be worried about this guitar's future? I bought it secondhand so warranty work is out of the question. It was made in the last year, so it ...

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
Just got it back. They were on vacation so I wasn't able to send it in until july 14th, but they fixed it within days of receiving it which was significantly faster than I expected. I almost couldn't believe it when I played and the buzz was gone!
Once again, thanks hotz for all the help.

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
From what I've researched, Rickenbacker does not allow anyone to do warranty work in their place. So I gotta send it to them or pay for a fret level and after dropping 2 grand on a guitar my wallet can't support another $200. Good news, however, is that the Rickenbacker supposedly pays for shipping ...

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
I went to pickup the guitar at the shop today and my excitement was palpable. I opened the case so excited and.....still buzz. Worse, even. They told me it was set up to "factory specs" and there was nothing else they could do. So I go to bother the best tech around (I didn't go to him first as he ...

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
Just got back from a tech, apparently the 2nd fret is too high and the buzz is coming from behind the string. The buzz did sound odd, not like a regular fret buzz. Hopefully they'll fix it and thanks for all the help hotzenplotz

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
Well I got some new strings. The low e was a 54 and.....no luck. Still buzzing. The neck relief has not increased in the past couple of days either. It seems like the only culprit could be a bad fret???

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
Yes, I'm in the us. I'm going to try a pair of 11's today and if that does not work I am going to contact rick directly. I might try to get a tech at a rick dealer nearby to take a look and see what the problem is. I was thinking about it and perhaps it's just taking a while for the neck relief to ...

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
Well now I am starting to get stressed out about it, the dealer will only accept returns and whatnot before 15 days. Today was 15 days since I bought it and they told me that I will have to go through Rickenbacker from now on. After tightening the truss rods back to normal, the buzz is slightly ...

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
I guess I should have mentioned that it is a brand new guitar :D . Thanks for all of the info, I did some measuring and my neck relief is at .3 or .4 right now after tightening the rods back up last night. I have ruled out the nut as the buzz is still there with a capo. I don't think that it's the ...

Re: NGD Ric 360 Neck relief
So I kept loosening the rods in small increments and I'm pretty sure that it's not doing anything and that I'm at maximum relief.

Re: Would you sell a favorite guitar that you don't play?
I have a couple of guitars that I never really play anymore but I keep for sentimental value. I actually sold my first "Great" guitar and have always kind of regretted it. I say keep it.

Bow in neck
So I bought my first rick (330) a month or so ago and I love everything about it except for ONE thing. There seems to be a bow in the neck towards the treble side and the high E loves to slip off the fretboard in the middle of the neck. I took it to my tech and he cut a new nut and made the slot ...
