Re: MAJOR Kudos

Congrats Craig!

If you're running out of storage space, I could arrange something at an incredibly reasonable rate.

Sure you can, you just need really heavy strings.

A fine example of knowing when not to play.
His groove on their slower songs (You're Wondering Now, It's Up to You, Message to You Rudy) is stellar.

Re: What erks me.

If jps says they sold for less than 2k, they did. Rickenbacker's limited editions never semed to be ridiculously priced, just difficult to obtain because they actually were limited. It was the spec market and flippers that drove the price up. Ask anybody who bought an 75th Anniversary Edition from a...

Re: Ronnie Lane

Not to derail, but the guy playing bass was a buddy of mine from my time working at the King of Corsica pub in Soho. He worked in the Berwick St market. I only knew him as Brian O'Veg (he sold vegetables in the market, there was another guy named Brian Bananas.) He used to tell me stories about tour...

Re: artists using rick 12 in a solo guitar/voice setting?

There's this local guy who does some solo shows with a 330/12. He does solo ska-tinged interpretations of classic underground rock & pop tunes. I've never actually seen him play, but I've heard positive reviews. Look him up on http://www.icompositions.com He goes by the name Captain Sa...

Re: So I finally went & did it

Update: Perhaps the roasted curly maple was not the best choice for a first guitar. Or perhaps I should've gone with a dreadnaught design to reduce the amount of curve in the waist. A couple of cracks in the sides, a whole lot of wrestling with the wood and I still couldn't get the tight curves. I e...
