Re: Do I need to adjust my neck?

It's a 2008 4003JG. New Style. I knew all the tricks of the old style since that's what I had for so long. I went to Rickenbacker's site and got the info I needed.
I would have gone to Joey's site but it's down. (Sadness)

Re: Do I need to adjust my neck?

OK, should I TIGHTEN THEM...Or Loosen them? :) Right now they are just snug to the point where they don't turn with fingers. I'm so close to getting it where I want it but these truss rods just freak me out. Afraid to mess with em.

Re: Do I need to adjust my neck?

Since I recently got back on the Rickenbacker bandwagon, I feel like a newbie, but in which direction do you tighten / loosen the nuts to correct a small dip at around the 12th fret?

Let's move on to the Red Wings sticker on his Texan. Why?

I put a new set of Cobalts on my Bongo 5HH. Wow. They are really nice strings and LOUD. Worth the extra $$.

Re: 1964 Rickenbacker 4001

This thread is KILLING me and makes me want to jump back into the Rick Collector world. BEAUTIFUL basses! And previously unknown to the Forum? Did they get in the Register?

Re: Model of the Week 26: 4004Cii/5 "Cheyenne II"

Ironically enough, a former member of this forum has just acquired the aforementioned TG 4004Cii-5, reuniting the original body with the original pickups. Hope it goes well :)

the youtube link thing doesn't show on my computer for some reason.
Look at about 50 seconds in during the chorus when they show him singing.

Michael Anthony with a RIC on Stage?

This clip is from 1984 and it looks like a Rick, but with different pickups, anyone have any idea what the heck this is?

McCartney - Low Point

I was just listening to my Ipod on shuffle and this number came up....years later, can't believe how bad it is. Can't believe Macca had a hand in it. And the talking section....ugh.

Liz Phair (Yes, there IS Rickenbacker Content!)

Purely gratuitous posting of a great song and a very enjoyable video to watch. Might give Ms. Hoffs some competition. :)

Re: Geddy Lee's Rickenbackers

Having seen them on the Time Machine tour, I would say it's time for Ged to re-evaluate his bass sound. If he is going for bottom end, he had none when I saw him, but lots and lots of "Clank".

Amen to that, Paul. One of the best American rock bands. Good to see them getting some of the recognition they have always deserved.
