I'm in the market for Rickenbacker again!

Hi all!

I'm not a new member, but I am as good as, due to the fact I have not logged on to the forum since 2007. I had to sell both my Ricks back then due to new house / real life etc (a 325 V59 MG and a 360/12 V64 FG - Beatlenut of course!)

Anyway, life has once again allowed me to take the ...

Epiphone Texan

Just wondered whether any forumites had one of these? Whether it be an original US-made version, or the Macca Ltd. Ed. Considering getting hold of one and was wondering what the general opinion is on them; a good acoustic, or simply a seller because of the artist association?

Well it arrived yesterday. It's a 1993 model and it's absolutely mint. Plays like a dream too - absolutely nails the AHDN album when played through my AC30. Anyway, I've uploaded some pics of her:

I don't know why I originally set my sights on the C63. I guess because it's EXACTLY like George's. Having said that, I've seen lots of pics of the V64s and some have had a nicer fireglo on them than lots of C63s I've seen, so.. Besides, the only major difference I'm aware of is the headstock shape ...

Awaiting my latest acquisition

Well, I've finally taken the plunge and picked up a 360/12 V64 on eBay. As I'm a UK resident, I'd given up hope of finding a C63 anytime soon, so the V64 would be just fine!
Unfortunately I've got that awful 3 day wait coming up till it arrives and I'm drooling with anticipation! This will be my ...

Which guitar is used on what.

Do any of you guys know of a website that lists Beatles recordings along with the instruments that were used. I have a Ric 325V59, which has that sweet rhythm sound and also a Gibson J-160E. I know that the Gibson was used more on recordings than either of Lennon's Rics were, but I've always wanted ...

Not sure if this has been covered before, but can somebody briefly explain the differences between the 360/12 C63 and the V64 now discontinued? I would love to get hold of a C63 but there are more V64s on eBay and the like.

It most certainly is a V59, and a beautiful guitar it is too. Have never played a C58 so wouldn't know the difference, but mine will do me just fine! Here it is from a slightly different angle...

Thank you all for your recommendations. I AM a huge Beatles fan (obviously) and my 325 is a beauty (All My Loving, You Can't Do That, Twist and Shout to name but 3 favourite songs on it)and I'm very interested in the 360/12 Harrison model. Where would be a good place for a UK resident to pick one of ...

What do I go for?

I currently own 1 Ric: a 325 V59 in MG. Love it very much, but I want to dip my toe into the 12-string waters.
Which 12-string is a good one to go for? e.g. what's the difference between a 330 and 360?
Thanks,
Pete.
