Re: 430 question

I've got another question. My bridge pickup is a bit thin/quieter than the other. Is that a common problem? I took it to my luthier tonight and he said to look into it, before we dive into it. Assuming that the pick up height is the same, one pick up should be quieter then the other in this era. Th...

Re: 430 question

I thought that's what he meant, Sean. I was just saying, with Mosrites, for example, people are in the know of what a lot of the various scribbles mean. And I always like to know extra trivia/background/etc. type things about my collectibles. My luthier and I were joking about how Rick K. might have...

430 question

I opened up my guitar the other day, to make sure all the pots, wiring, etc. was in good working order and saw the words "Rick K" and a number "4" with a circle around it, written inside the body. Does this mean anything to anyone? I was just curious.

Re: bridge for a 430?

Thanks, I'll check those out. I'm not concerned by it being from the 70's. I know the original is here somewhere!

Hey, that's almost identical to mine! I've never actually seen another one. Mine is a July 1975.

bridge for a 430?

Does anyone know where I can get a bridge for a 430? I just need the saddle bit. I have no idea where I put mine and it's been a year's worth of looking through my house.
Thanks.

Re: I Put The Gold Plastic On The Blue Guitar

I think the gold is cool and I don't even like gold. It's just more subtle and natural looking to me. White's too clean and bright. Makes it look more vintage, really.

The wood looks rad too. I'd like to see some of that in person.

Re: Oops i installed it again (Bigsby B5)

How's it staying in tune? I did this to a Les Paul and it's pretty horrible at staying in tune now. But then again, my Mosrite with vibrato doesn't keep very well either. The price you pay to sound cool, I guess.

Re: Surprise,surprise.

What a bummer. I had a tailpiece break on a ****** acoustic some years back. It would have cost more than I paid for the guitar to put on a new one though, so I just chalked it up to a loss. Glad you found a replacement.

Re: And now for something slightly different! My modified 620..

I think the look of the pickguard/plate is rad. Is the upper one necessary to protect the aluminum or did you just want to add it?

Re: 430

Nice guitar, Paul! I'm assuming you (or someone) did a hell of a lot of work to that thing. Looks really good.
