Re: Poll: When Did You Acquire Your First Ric ....

A 1991 330-12FG was my first, I unfortunately sold it around 2001. Then I replaced it with a 620-12JG nice but not comfortable, so I traded it in 2003 for my 360-12MG. The 330-12 was Fireglo but it was not very pink - it looked like a slightly lighter version of AFG. http://k53.pbase.com/g4/39/69393...

Re: Whats new for 2008

I know it will never happen, but I'm voting for Ruby for a color of the year anyway. A store tried to order a 360-12 WB in Ruby for me in 1987, and it never arrived. I think they were already discontinued by then.

Re: Worship Bass Forum

Okay I joined, but I'm sorry to say I have a RIC 360-12, but the only Bass I own, and play at Church is an Ibanez. Let he who will give me a free 4003 throw the first stone :P

Re: Wrong capacitor in 360-12

Wow, Thanks Kris (and John and Jeff), Although my eyes glaze over when I see equations, I understand the English parts of your explanation. I had an idea it was something like that, but I needed verification. It always helps to know the why, so you can start putting the pieces together. I picked up ...

Re: Wrong capacitor in 360-12

Thanks for your replies, there is a noticable "thinning out" taking place, but if I put in the .0047mf it would cut by a factor of 10? It certainly seems logical (the value changes by a factor of ten), but I can't imagine it having ten times less audible bass. I know that when I modded my ...

Wrong capacitor in 360-12

I was reading a post a while back about the shunt in the bridge pickup of current 360-12 (and others), so I decided to try putting the cap back into my 360-12 (2003 high gains). It sounds good (just a little volume drop). The thing is, I was just reviewing some posts (and the Ric schematics), and I ...

I've seen a lot of 360-6's on The Gospel Music Channel, mostly mostly in videos by the newer Christian rock bands like Leeland, The Turning, and one other I can't remember (sorry whoever you are!)

It's a good thing no one ever told Paul Weller that he could only use his 330 in the clean channel :0)

Well, Maybe I'll look into a noise gate rahter than swap pickups. It's about the same price and less hassle.

Anyone? Cool pics of what they look like but does anyone know what they sound like compared to the high gains? Will I lose that jangle? Will the midtones be too strong? Is the RIC Humbucker stacked, or tandem? Has anyone tried the GFS NYIII?

Thanks

Rickenbacker humbuckers on a 360-12?

I haven't been able to find an exact answer by searching the forum, so I apologize if this has been covered before. Compared to my current High Gain pickups, what would the Ric Humbuckers sound like in my 360-12? I like the sound, of the High Gains, but I am looking to lose the hum they produce when...

If the inference here is that the Janglebox design is stolen from the 360-12RM, then wouldn't the fact that the original chip used in that circuit is no longer available mean that Janglebox circuit is a new design? It would have to different. If the "significant individual" believes that t...

My 360-12 sounds very close through my Fender Ultra Chorus solid state. This amp has the cleanest and most transparent tone of any amp I have played. All of the crisp high-end of the guitar is heard giving me that vintage Byrds tone. For the Back From Rio sound I use a Digitech X-Series Main Squeeze...

Vintage case causing neck change?

When I bought my new 360-12 a month ago, my dealer didn't have a case for it. He had sold it seperately to someone who needed a case, and forgotten to re-order. While I waited for my new Vintage case to arrive, he loaned me a ES-335 style case to take my Ric home in. It was a little loose, but okay ...

While I have no stake in defending UPS, or FedEx. I would like to point out that guitars arrive at our local stores via UPS and/or FedEx. THe only difference here is that the store management has to deal with the occasional mangled package. it is most likely that ANY guitar that you buy traveled to ...
