Re: Is this a cause for concern?

bridge off centered? could be angle of the photo making it appear falsely so. Yup re: the offset bridge. At least, that's what it looks like to me. Here's a bigger shot for a sense of context: Screen Shot 2013-03-10 at 12.05.35 PM.png The giveaway is the locations of the adjustable saddles on the b...

So I've said before that I have a 4004 cii on the way. I had a picture sent, and looking at the bridge, something strikes me as a litte odd. . . . I'll hold comments to see if anyone else notices the same thing.

It's due to arrive tuesday.

Re: I need a livingroom/jamming amp. :)

GK amps are solid state, so they don't need to be warmed up. TC Electronics makes great stuff, but "Designed in Denmark and Made In China" doesn't cut it for me. The trade imbalance between our two countries is high enough, we need the jobs here. By "warmed up" I was talking abo...

Re: I need a livingroom/jamming amp. :)

How about the TC Electronics BG250? Seems very versatile to me. Probably a good amp. I demoed a new one vs. a used GK in the shop, and to me, the GK sounded better. It may just have been the fact that I was already "warmed up" by noodling by the time I got to the GK and therefore h...

Re: I need a livingroom/jamming amp. :)

UPDATE: So I got a chance to try out some amps today. 1) TC Electronics 250 watt 15''. Didn't care for the eq, the "toneprint" feature seemed kinda gimmicky. 2) A few new Ampeg combos. . . whatever the 1 x 12 is called. The one I tried sounded good but the construction felt flimsy. 3) Amp...

Re: I need a livingroom/jamming amp. :)

e 6 Pod X3 hooked up to my pc audio interface so I can play along with music. I like being able to create patches using the variety of classic amp and effect simulations on the pod to match whatever style/sound I'm looking for. Doh - my OP was a bit misleading. I don't actually need stereo in or he...

I need a livingroom/jamming amp. :)

:D Here's why: After years of lurking here in the basement as an observer, I'll be getting my first Rick 4 in a few weeks from POTR. Complete with pre-installed VVT mods. Some forumites may have already seen it, in fact - it's an MG 4004cii, December 2012, probably displayed at the NAMM show. Re: am...

Don't think so. IIRC he (Daniel Earwicker) is a member of this site, but notice how you never see him and Eden post at the same time?

His youtube channel is great in multiple respects.
