Re: help identifying bass

My understanding, three. My understanding four. Bass looks right to me, even the pickguard. Looks like it might be early to mid 90s.... It may be the angle, but I thought the guard on my '90 looks slightly more blobby. qdxcv5iccylt19b262ph.jpg PS. please excuse the lack of proper JPS knob alignment...

That was my understanding too.

Re: 4003 truss rod help

I bought the Ric driver and had someone thin the walls so it fits under. Having said that, on occasion I’ve taken the easy route and gone to a pro. I have a long-shank multi-bit screwdriver that works really well as the whole shaft is thin, similar to this one (it's the perfect size for the truss r...

Re: Current horseshoe vs highgain

Wish I could give you some kind of answer but my only experience with RI horseshoe pickup is with two of the earlier, hotter ones; regarding hi-gains, the two basses that I had that came with them were replaced with scatterwound toasters upon arrival. :(

He certainly hasn't been around here in a long time that I recall.

I wonder if Woody has been in contact with Sergio; Woody and his partner moved to Portugal a couple years ago.

I see that his last post was on 01/17/20.

Re: Registry update question

That means that someone "rummaged" through websites and/or stores collecting data to add instruments to the register. I always thought (previous to learning this) that the owners of these instruments could add them to the register.

This. 8)

Like these, but the "new" modern scatterwound variety.

It's interesting, I had a '92 FG V63 years ago that also came from Japan.

Wonder what's the deal with FG V's and Japan?
In Japan FG = Fire-breathing Godzilla
