I think I remember reading somewhere that RIC is releasing a new bridge assembly for the 4004 models. Anybody know if that's true and when that will be available?

mine almost looks solid blue unless under bright lights. I don't really have that "tiger stripe" look.

I just got a new 4004cii yesterday. It is different from a 4003. I think it'll take a bit of time to get to know this bass. I'm still tempted to crank the treble and make it a 4003. The pickups are dead silent quiet and it has great sustain and low end growl. The neck is not as fast as my 4003 but ...

Looking to trade toasters for humbuckers

I have 2 toasters that were professionally removed from my 360/6 just shortly after I purchased it. Anybody want to trade 2 RIC humbuckers for my toasters?

I recently purchased a Martin J12-16GT. Its called a jumbo but its not much bigger than a dreadnought. Gloss spruce top and satin mahogany sides.

Should fit into your budget. I recommend it.

I will probably only hang guitars in a display case on the wall. For an acoustic, I can keep a humidifier in the soundhole while the guitar hangs on the wall, in the case. I suppose I could further purchase glass that would prevent the UV sunlight rays from getting in. I am not comfortable hanging ...

Who displays their RIC's?

I want to hang my Ric's in display cases for easy access and to show off their beauty. I can control humidity levels in the room with a humidifier or dehumidifier but will exposure to sunlight hurt the finish? Specifically, I would display a Monte Brown 360, Fireglo 4003, Blueburst 650C (soon), and ...

I was at Ed's a month ago. He told me that dealers don't want to sell Bass guitars anymore because their is no mark-up and not enough customers. All this as he pulled his custom version off the rack and told me how much better it is than a Ric. He did have a nice selection though. First time I ever ...

I ordered a 650 without having the opportunity to play one. I searched this forum over and over and found many negative reviews of the 650 neck. It's a shame the 650 has that reputation with some. I'm glad this post stayed positive on this.

Geddy and Steinberg?

Ed Roman from Ed Roman guitars told me the Geddy stopped using Ric's when they stopped paying him and now he plays Steinberger Basses? Like everyone else on this forum I'd like to see him drop the Fender and come back home but Steinberger? Anybody else hear this?

650 Sierra

Hi all,
I just played a new 650 Sierra at Ed Romans Guitars. I don't know why people criticize the neck! Its wider than a 360 but its thin and feels great! And the humbuckers had a clear growl; very nice. I was a bit worried about the neck from previous reviews, but now I'm really looking forward ...
