Re: 15,000 Instruments In The Register

Not sure it's the right place, but some news about "my" 650D. It's still alive and kicking (saw it less than 2 weeks ago) but moved to Voronezh (Russian Federation), to an old friend of mine. It's in good hands, i promise. That's life, and my friend, being a musician, definitely needs this...

Re: Green Day

Funny that. When i heard Bilie Joe mention in some interview that he's got a Rickenbacker (named Rick... oops, the surname escapes me somehow), i was very surprised. Looks quite, ahem, minimalistic. Was kinda hoping he was going to use the Rick at the show in Pasadena on Sept 16th this year... you k...

Re: Are the Beatles still popular and relevent?

Um, well, judging by the looong and heavy battles at our local rock music forum — as to whether the Beatles are "the best band in history ever" or "ah, forget that, they're just a hugely overrated boy band that played silly pop songs blah-blah-blah" — they still are. How come a b...

Re: Battle of versions - I fought the law

Green Day wasn't half bad. The thing is, they're a terrific band, and their live show is somewhere between fantastic and surreal (i knooow...), but when it comes to actually covering somebody else's songs (as opposed to, ahem, borrowing a tune that was written and recorded a few years before the th...

Re: Breaking News - Press Release for The Generators

Well, three is good enough, Mike. Or so i think. :D I've got no new fans... oh wait, i've "acquired" one, in about 2012, but lost him around August 2015. Or rather, he lost me. Ah well, nevermind, but it was a funny experience — in some way.

Re: Sad News: George Boccanfuso Has Passed Away

"Sad" is a word not big enough. This place would never be the same (not only for me, i suppose). (Took quite a while to write this...)
Hope you're doing well over there, George. A woman from the garage next door will always remember you.
