Re: Insurance

+1 for Heritage, great coverage, reasonable rates, and in the event of a loss pay up without a lot of hassle. Insuring musical instruments is what they do.

Re: Which Rick History book is better?

Both worth reading and owning. Anybody working on updated versions in addition to the bass book? From the number of posts seems like there is definitely a market for it!

Re: Monty Mods?

Toasters were available as a factory upgrade but were not the standard pickups. I like them both but prefer the high gains in mine. I'd keep the monogrammed guard, you're right easy to swap out once you have two guards. :)

Re: Monty Mods?

That looks great! Thanks for sharing the excellent photos!! Did they do the monogram too? Did you add the toasters or were they stock? Great ...another possible upgrade.

Re: Monty Mods?

I have the modern raised lettering on my trc. I guess I'll have to decide if I want the vintage style or the modern trc. Of course finding either one won't be easy. :?

Re: Monty Mods?

Good point Peter, hadn't thought of that. Does anyone have a photos of another monty (or fireglo) with gold guards? I'd probably get the oven knobs too...

Monty Mods?

Hi everyone. Here is my current Rickenbacker pride and joy. As you can see I changed the tailpiece for a more vintage vibe. Now I'm considering adding gold pickguards and truss rod. What do you think? Am I nuts? Any advice would be appreciated.
