Re: Greetings and my 1959-60 M11
Re-Awakening this thread, for an update. I recently recalled that my father had said that the volume controls on the M-11 were interactive. Got to experimenting. Want glassy clean? Put the 12au7 in V1; 12ax7 in V2. Turn on and leave the tone in the full treble position. Plug in to the INST jack ...

Re: M-11 12AX7/12AU7 Conundrum
This is a super-old thread that I am waking, but I want to note something that I discovered today. Put the 12ax7 in V1 and the 12au7 in v2, just like it's labeled. Plug your Tele into the instrument jack. Turn on power and leave tone maxed to treble. Max the MIC volume (not the INSTRUMENT volume ...

Re: Greetings and my 1959-60 M11
I realize that this thread is a little old, but my M11 small chassis calls for a 12ax7 and a 12au7. I found that if I put the 12au7 in V1, which is where I would think that tube ought to go--and how the chassis is marked, I get tons of nasty distortion. If, however, I put the 12au7 in V2 and the ...

M-11 12AX7/12AU7 Conundrum
Hi!
My M-11 (1957?) seems to call for a 12au7 in V1 and a 12ax7 in V2 (stamped on chassis); however it sounds horrible this way (way too much distortion). If I put the 12au7 in V2, however, the amp kills, and is still loud. Is there any possibility the chassis was stamped wrong?

Need Help with M-11 (schematic) other trouble
Hi!
I've started a thread at:
http://thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?s=c312869fe550c9ed8951f83d7e1988a7&threadid=87770
before I found this forum. I could really use a 12ax7/12ay7 based schematic for this amp if anyone has one.
Please come on over and help . . . .
Best,
Mark
