Yep, that bass looks and sounds great for Ska

I love playing this thing, more so than my 4003. The neck on this old girl is much thinner. It seems to work though...

...this is what my '76 looks like... Well I think mine's pretty close. I think I'll be cheeky enough to call it Azureglo... I set it all up tonight and it all just fell together. Minor adjustments on the truss rods, no adjustments needed for intonation, jacked the bridge up a bit and she plays and ...

I know colours will vary from monitor to monitor but can I realistically call this bass Azureglo in colour? I've tried comparing it to pictures I've found on the net and it's the same as some but different from others...

I haven't set up the action yet but I've finished with the polishing!

I got the fretboard covered ok, it's just been a huge pain in the ***** rubbing it back and polishing it. I am my own worst enemy though as I'm somewhat of a door knob polisher (perfectionist) lol, and won't be satisfied until it's spot on. I originally painted the colour on the neck up to the bindi...

Not quite finished. I've spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get the fretboard right. I'm about to sit down in front of a few episodes of Breaking Bad and finish the fretboard.

I had to make a few touch ups to the fingerboard today, so while that was drying, I assembled the rest of the bass. I'm very happy with the way it's turned out and looking forward to playing and hearing it

I'll take some better pics outside tomorrow...

Time for a bit of an update. My wife had surgery on her neck a week ago so I've been home looking after her. I've been rubbing back the bass formerly known as the "Wreckenbacker" and it's coming up lovely. Kicking myself though as I've rubbed through the clear in a couple of spots. A couple of high spots on the back of the headstock around the post hole and one little spot on the lower, rear edge...
