Re: '87 Rose Morris 1993 Question.

Here are a few shots of the lefty 1993. It seems that my photography lights want to bring out the red in the color, but it's actually brown in hue. It's not a perfect guitar, but still very clean for 26 year- old piece. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i22/tvking/DSC09578_edited-1_zps1160289d.jpg ...

Re: Spector owners??

leftybass - that's a nice looking old Euro. And congrats, Kopfjaeger! I think the premium birdseye maple fingerboard is a fairly new menu item - maybe not so easy to find. Let me second your comments about PJ Rubal; a company couldn't ask for better customer service than he provides. I bought my ba...

Re: Paul McCartney Hofner bass to auction for $200,000 at Ju

Pretty hard to ever feel comfortable about anything that came through Music Ground: http://tinyurl.com/keh8rty Well, normally they wouldn't make a ten foot pole long enough for me (or alot of people I know) to touch anything vintage from Music Ground, but fortunately this Hofner has a pretty tracea...

On a 21-fret Rick, I would exercise extreme caution. Either use 8's or tune down a half step.

YMMV...
Yep. On a vintage 12-string, .008s or .009 sets only.

Re: Spector owners??

Mine is a left-handed NS-4CR, brought home from the Spector booth at the NAMM show in 1996, and I bought it new then....It may be the first Euro NS4 ever made for this was around the time they were introduced and it has no sn# and very plain peghead graphics. I love love love  this bass, it...

Re: 365 Capri/Combo 1957 Resto

That's not the 325 longbody you're talking about, is it? Yep, that's it... quite different I suppose. Here's the one I think you are talking about. It used to be up on William Young's website showing the resto process, but his site is temporarily (?) down. I got this photo (pre-restoration) ...
