Well, Pick of the Ricks is about to celebrate its 20th Anniversary and remains a great RIC dealer, Chris being a real gentleman and providing great knowledge besides being a trusty source for genuine Rickenbacker parts and instruments.
Thank you, and congratulations!

Re: Please enlighten me on High Gains
1. They've always had the isolated grey wire, all the way back to earliest production (1970). 2. You're looking at the difference between the adjustable pole piece models and non-adjustable. The non-adjustable models were made from about 1973 - 2007 (? not exactly sure on the year there), when the ...

Re: Some gig pics
They're entirely different animals. I play typical SSS stratocasters, and a solid body Rickenbacker is almost like an alien artifact compared to them (or vice-versa). As I am a small guy, the 600 family (620, 660, 450) fit me like a glove, as they are significantly narrower, lighter and smaller all ...

Some gig pics
I've only owned my Rick for a short while, having Always been mainly a Fender player, but I've gigged with it a couple of times already... I'll post the upcoming ones here as well. Here are some images of my Rick being played live and in a studio rehearsal and jam... https://i.postimg.cc/Sx9nLzH5/9-...

Re: Exploding "R" tailpiece? Fact or fiction?
As a passionate owner of a 620, I read a lot about RIC guitars and inevitably came across the R tailpiece breakage issue. It seems that it happens more to 12 string guitars, as a matter of fact I can’t remember having read about it happening to a 6 tailpiece. Maybe much less frequently. Anyway I hav...

Re: Seams visible
I’ve seen it in more than one RIC. It’s normal.
In some cases you can even feel the seams with your fingers.

Re: Just sharing some of my own history
Thanks for sharing Sergio. So did life imitate art - did your parents eventually understand? Not really, at least not fully. I became a lawyer and only then I picked up the electric guitar and fought my way into the local scene to become a professional musician. They still think it’s a waste of tim...

Just sharing some of my own history
Back in '96 I saw an ad in a '95 Guitar World issue, it was a Dean Markley Blue Steel Strings ad, with a guy sort of waiting for a bus or a ride, with guitar case. The main color of the page was blue. It was the nov '95 one, ACDC on the front cover. The ad said "Your father will curse and your ...

They probably last a lifetime or so, and cost about the same as 2 or 3 packs of cigarettes, shipping included. No big deal, man...

Re: Please enlighten me on High Gains
...are there Rickenbackers with fabric-coated black and white lead wires (like the ones Fender uses) too? Those are Chinese fake pickups. Well, they (hopefully) produce a sound, but they are not made by RIC. Interesting. I myself have never seen a counterfeit high gain pickup. All fake Rics I've se...

Please enlighten me on High Gains
I'm new to the Rickenbacker world and right now I'm learning about the history and specs of high gain pickups. A couple of doubts: Did they always come with the gray isolated lead wire, or are there Rickenbackers with fabric-coated black and white lead wires (like the ones Fender uses) too? I've see...

Re: Changed my 360 wiring layout to Les Paul/SG style.
Speaking of which... The op said a previous owner had left the 5th knob out of the circuit. It seems to be a pretty common mod.
Why do people disconnect the blender (5th) knob? What’s the point on doing that, and not simply leaving it alone on 0 position?
