Re: Officially, Do Most Ric Owners Own More Than One?

I've had 10 or 11 ricks through the years. 6 is the magic number right now. I enjoy trading up and trying new (to me) instruments. If I'm not totally in love they will probably move along eventually, but I have three that aren't going anywhere: my '82 320 that was bought new and received a PW Ruby m...

Re: '75 430 guitar

I had one and really enjoyed it. I called it my Rickencaster. Really great sounding pickups. You can find them for well under a grand, and well worth it. 8)

Yep, and that's only one reason I like 'em. I've always used tens on my full scale ricks.

If any members know how to reach Johnnie, would you kindly refer him to this message, or send me his email address? Th...

Re: Keeping our 12-strings at concert pitch

Hi, Karl,

I tune my 12-strings to full pitch. If using a capo distorts your tuning, then perhaps your nut needs adjustment. I would guess the slots aren't deep enough and the strings are too high at the nut.

Re: 481 w/Bigsby Registered Today

Welcome, Jim, and thanks for registering your 481. :) Got any pictures for us? Have you considered a Bigsby bowtie bridge for a replacement? I think they rock nicely by design and sound better than a roller bridge, which also tends to bog down and fail to roll. I feel simplicity is best, as long as...

Bear in mind that there are two configurations of the bowtie, for wound and for plain G string. The one that Dan has linked to is for a wound G. :)
