Re: Soapbars
Personally I bought a set of Sheptone P90s to replace the minis on my LP Deluxe after using his AB Customs HBs for a while in a Stewart archtop. I love the bite and tone of his P90s, and they are a little less noisy than the Lollars. He has sales every now and then as well.

Re: DR Strings
I put the green ones on for St Patrick's day parade and dance gig last year. They don't really sound any different than regular DR nickels. But they sure light up under blacklight!!

Re: Computer monitors
I have 21.5 and 27" Imacs at home, 27” Imac and a 27" Thunderbolt display at the office. We also have a few Dell 21 and 23" various models. Generally speaking I prefer the Apple displays, with one caveat, the gloss glass covering the screen is extremely glare susceptible. To the point...

That looks great Jeff!! Last time we spoke you were going through tons of choices. I love the view towards the fridge with the microwave cubby. Very retro-mod feel.
Congrats on a succesful project!

Zymol all around, including the fretboard. Smells like a Hawaiian Tropic Bikini contest. Not much else comes close!

Re: Amp for dirty/crunch tone
I went Phaez two years ago, and I won't go back. I now have an HRM style (Dumble style)/Hot Cat style 2 channel 50 Watt, a Vox style 18W, and a JTM style 10W with some really cool mid control tricks. All have post phase inverter master volumes that works extremely well. All have a note clarity and h...
