Re: Missed my own anniversary

Thanks all...not only did I forget my anniversary but, I forgot (until just now) where I put this thread. *Whew* Read the thread title and I thought we were going to be presented with a horror story. yea you probably thought you were going to see a 4003 reduced to dust from me forgetting something o...

Re: A gig bag that fits Rics well

My Ricks all stay in their cases when not being played, but i have to admit i would prefer to transfer them to a (good)gig bag when transporting them to practice/gigs. Thanks for the tip,Cassius! Are these sold on the interwebs? Edit...just found this on Amazon, where it is labelled as a being for 6 ...

Re: 2014 Color of the Year is...

I did hear back from another Rickenbacker dealer who got shut out on this run. Their claim was they were told by Rickenbacker that more would be made. Seems like Ric could have done that with the c64s even though there was some demand but didn't so, I'm not sure why they would do that here.

Re: "God is Dead?" Black Sabbath

Saw the Black Sabbath show at PNC Arts Center in NJ. While it was amazing, Geezer used exclusively Lakland :(

Missed my own anniversary

August 9th celebrated 10 years on these beloved boards.

The quest for a 4001v63SG (which I never got)led me here and I was lucky enough to make many new friends and acquaintances.

cheers!

Re: 2014 Color of the Year is...

Now without getting anyone into trouble, I MUST have one of these but am in Australia. Any ideas? Cheers Pete Not sure if this helps because it doesn't look like Rickenbacker has an Aussie distributor but, maybe one of these outlets is permitted to ship there. Then of course you have to hope they ca...

Re: Now what?

So, do I have to send Alex the banana? or does it come from a Curmudgeon Reserve Fund? Well, I think what we really saw here are some drawbacks in buying an import instrument. A local friend has an import Lakland and ironically had the same problem, with the same screw in the same spot. Super hard w...

Re: Now what?

So, I got the new D tuner today and have a bigger issue. The ferrule doesn't fit into the headstock hole. I contacted Lakland. They said that I have the right parts but, it's often an issue. So now I have to ream the hole for the tuner a little. Unfortunately while I have the bit to do it with, I do...

Re: Now what?

Actually, I'm putting a D Tuner so, there will be a small plate covering that area. If I put a screw there, and it still holds I'm not going to mess with filling it in.

Re: Now what?

Well, it's ugly but it's out.

I bought a small drill bit thinking I could drill in them pull out using a jewelers screwdriver but, a couple of slips then the vice grip was able to twist it out.

Now I have to repair. This plastic wood is all I have as a filler. Is it ok?
