5% growth on guitars, huh? That beats bonds and many other forms of low-risk investment. Maybe I should go buy a bunch of guitars, and put them in a storage unit under A/C for about 10 years.

Dave wrote : "Very unfair comment, IMHO. It's the first price hike since 1999, a modest one at that, and not across the board." I never looked at their prices until November of 2004, when I got my first. Your basic Ric 330 will now go for over $1500 retail, and $1100 will be about the best...

Wow, nice price jack. It looks like every Ric will be $100 more now. Better get what you want before the low ends are $2K !!

I wouldn't buy anything from Sam Ash unless I went through it with a fine tooth comb. The one down here in South FL has two 330-12's on the wall, but they have also been out on the floor. The jetglo one is clearly dinged up, just like every other guitar on their wall. And they have the nerve to put ...

I have a 330, and I would describe the tone as, generally, fuller than the Tele, but the Tele could be described as chimey, not in the same way as the 330, but still, equally chimey. One of the distinctions for me is, I have a riff intro to one of my songs, where I slide one fretted note up and down...

I guess for me, they do, but I appreciate your enthusiasm and position on this matter. Besides, I'm only a rocking drummer, I am not a rocking guitar player. I almost cry every time I see a black 360, because I don't have one - you rock, man.

Telecasters are very cool also, and they rock better than Ric's! I have one in chrome red. Every collection should have at least one Ric-6, one Ric-12, and one Tele as far as I'm concerned!
Am I allowed to say this on this forum?

What does the VB stand for ? I have a 360/12VP in fireglo. It is particularly beautiful and the tone is great with the toasters. I would buy it if I were you, that would be a great first Ric. It never ceases to impress me how these guitars hold, and even appreciate in their value. A jetglo 360 is al...

Never sell your only Ric, especially one as great as this. If money is a problem, you should be happy with what you have, and play it all day. I have a 330, it is great, many people think it is the best Ric. You have the 340 with toasters, you should be in hog heaven.

This ad says the nut width is 1.75", like the 660. False advertising, or did Ric pull a fast one on us and widen all the necks? I like the BBR, but honestly, I think all the standard colors are sharper. I've always wanted a JG, but people say they look really smudgy unless you polish them all t...

Well hell then, here is my mapleglo 330. I happen to think that mine is particularly handsome. Some are way too grainy and swirly for my taste, mine is just sharp as a tack, nice & blonde. With these two beauties, I don't need to go out and chase women anymore! And if I did snag one, she may be ...

OK, here is my 360-12VP in a low-res image. It is a really nice one, and I get better at playing it every day. I think the 500x500 pixel limit is a bit chincy ...Image

I believe fireglo and mapleglo vary quite a bit. I have one of each, I picked my mapleglo in person, and the fireglo, I saw a picture on the web first. It has the nice gradual fade-to-pink you mention. Mine has a knot on the front if that makes you feel any better. I tried to upload a picture but it...

650 Question

Hello, I've got Ric-itis, having purchased my first Ric, a mapleglo 330 6-string in November, and a 360-12VP in fireglo last month. I'm a drummer who writes songs, and records his own music. At 38, and having been a tight-wad my whole life, I realized that I have been playing the same awesome drum s...
