Re: Ric 350v63 in TobaccoGlo
I just got the new Rickenbacker book, and in reading the chapter about John Hall it says that when he took over he wanted to standardize the manufacturing. Part of this was that they had used a combination of slotted and phillips screws on the pickups til then, so he switched to all phillips. The ex...

Nice! Also liked Death Rumble at Big Sur, I play Surf on my '02 620. Til The End of the Day is one of my fave Kinks songs too!

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
I got this DVD in a shop in Vermont last fall for around $15. It was interesting, though many of the people couldn't remember all that much. Definitely worth a look if you can find for less than what ebay has it for.

Re: Rickenbacker 330 Models/Changes
I've got a 2012 330 and it's got everything you'd expect, bright and jangly with great tone and sustain. According to RIC the current fretboard radius is 10".

Re: George's Futurama
I searched and couldn't find anything, so hopefully this is something new. Jolana Guitars has an updated version of the Grazioso/Futurama.

Re: You Can't Do That - Lennon solo video
Supposedly John didn't like to be filmed while playing solos, I don't remember where I heard that but the lack of anything seems to back that up. There is a a partial video of a concert from '64 in Philly I think, where he goes into the You Can't Do That solo early, so there's a second or two before...

Re: incorrect listing
I never heard of him owning a 950 either, but there are a few pics of him with George's 425 so maybe the seller was thinking of that. He obviously doesn't know much about RICs because he also says that it's equipped with "toaster humbuckers!" lol!

Re: If Rickenbacker Didn't Exist
Rics were a definite asset to the Beatles for sure, but they would have carried on with out them. What about the Byrds, what would they have been without their famous jingle jangle? As far as the DC5's movie, Catch Us If You Can/ aka Having a Wild Weekend, it's actually very good. The directorial de...

Re: All y'all see this interview?
Yeah, great interview, I never heard about John getting into a fight with Peter Fonda, lol! Nice shot of the 325-12 too. Enquiring minds want to know: Who was the very famous female artist on the diving board with Ringo? Numerous accounts of the Beatles in LA during that time have said that Joan Bae...

Re: Guitar porn thread
I actually have one, originally for my '67 615 where it made a huge difference in place of its original roller bridge. I ended up selling that so I tried it on the 620 but it sounded kind of thin. Still haven't tried it on the 330 or 350V63 yet. The Mosrite trem is so awesome and has the lightest to...
