Re: "Long Cool Woman" by the Hollies

And an introduction from Marc Bolan. That 4000 sure sounds good!

Re: The Impact of Rickenbacker: 90 years, 90 songs

Interesting photo to use of the Beatles. John with his twelve string and Jimmy Nichols on drooms. Good read!

Well, not sure either! But here's a Rickresource post that may help, not sure how to create a link:

Re: Happy Friday Meeting Place

So, it’s Friday again! What are you fellows up to? Preparing for next week. I've just started noticing Erich Fromm, and this quote stood out to me: “Modern man thinks he loses something—time—when he does not do things quickly. Yet he does not know what to do with the time he gains—except kill it.” ...

Re: Dead pickup on 4001FL - seeking advice

Definitely get that thing rewound! Regarding rewire: May sound too antiquated, but what about the pickup selection found on Lennon's 325? It could lend an air of credibility when you're ashes and someone in a pawn shop on Mars is trying to figure out "What the heck is this?" Might be a nic...

Over the years I've probably spent more on insurance than my stuff is worth. Now that's a racket!

Re: If Rickenbacker Didn't Exist

Wow, hadn't paid attention to this thread in awhile. 1) Sergio, glad to hear you're into hagstroms, got any faves? My first good bass was a Hagstrom 1, sorry I traded it off, it was a really good bass. I just missed out on a Jimmy a few years ago, kicking myself. I had a piecemeal hagstrom II with t...

Re: Happy Friday Meeting Place

No gigs per se this weekend, but an orchestral concert in the park looms in a couple of weeks, my first, post shut down. I gotta remember which end of the bow to hold. I have been jamming/rehearsing/B.S.ing (lots of B.S.ing) with a jazz combo for some upcoming gigs as well. So things are ramping up.

Re: Happy Friday Meeting Place

Late to the date again myself. I played a Beatles tribute for a choir organization on June 26th. Really fun, with some long time friends in the band. Did I say hot? It was 113 degrees! The best part is that even though the Beatles brought me in to this racket, it's not a repertoire I get to play fro...
