Gunmetal grey bass?
Someone on a dutch bassguitarists facebook group mentioned he wanted a Gunmetal Grey Rickenbacker bassguitar. He mentions he once saw a batch of these basses at Rick headquarters. Now that he mentioned it my memory also has a vague memory of a batch of these. I cant find it in the Paul D. Boyer bibl...

5 string flatwounds?
Hi, On one of my basses I want a low B flatwound with a sound like the TI jazz flats or even better like the original Rickenbacker flats. I now tried the TI jazz flats and am disappointed. The B string has a completely different character than the E string. Optima Rickenbackers are not for sale in 5...

Re: Why Did You Let Your Rickenbacker Go?
Maybe some regrets about selling my 4005. But then again, I hardly ever played her and I was able to buy my current favorite (for years now), a Shadow.

Re: Exploding Grovers - anyone repair them?
And would you guys know of a place that fixes this issue in Europe? Everything I've found online is about the USA, and meanwhile, I'm here with my busted Rickenbacker in Belgium (well, I'm in Russia for a professional trip right now, but the guitar is back home) I do know of a luthier who does very...

Re: My first sixties 4001
I'll see if I can make some pictures soon. It was restored beautifully, but has some issues now. (Strings too high without room for adjustment.)
She was restored by making new body wings b.t.w. and indeed painted JG.

Re: How to install an HB1 on a 4003?
Thanx Dane! This stopped the noise which was coming out of my 4000 after having soldered an HB-1 into it.aceonbass wrote:The red wire goes to the switch, and the blue/shield wires go to the back of the pot. I seem to have an extra HB1 in stock too...

Besides the bridge I want a spare set of saddles extra. Is this do-able?

I have a bridge. Having spare saddles never hurts.
