Export model 3262

Post by scotty »

Ok not to be confused with 3261 RM 4005. The 3262 the export version of 336-12 with "comb".Now what Graham and i were talking about amogst other rubbish was that did Rose Morris actually ever distribute any of these and indeed did RIC ever produce any? The model is mentioned in the Smith book pg 221.So the 3262 would have had the F hole and the converter comb in a FG finish. Now here is the question anyone seen one?
Mentioned here in the Export models http://home.provide.net/~cfh/rick.html

Take this baby, remove the black plastic filler from the headstock, add 6 tuners, an "R" tailpiece, a converter comb, nut and bridge conversion to 12, etc. and there you have it -- the mythical beast!

I have a 3262, it's not in great condition but it does exist.

Picked it up with the intention of restoring it for my lad but understanding now how rare they are I don't think my restoration skills can do it justice.
