Shortage of "affordable" 95403 strings

Post by KenOnBass »

Hi,
I'd like a couple sets of Rickenbacker 95403s for my 360, but everyone is either out of stock or charging high prices esp when you add shipping? Can anybody recommend a good source or an alternative? (Sam Ash seems to have the best price, but they're out of stock at the moment.)

If you're thinking of the new 95403s that are roundwound (not compressed) 10-46, you could probably substitute any number of brands and not tell the difference. A 3-pack of D'Addario EXL110 is currently about $14 on Amazon. Hope this doesn't get me banned from the forum.

D'addario 12-string sets have a plain G and plain A octave, and a weak 008 G octave. No es bueno IMHO.

95403 are just regular 6-string 10-46, right? I would definitely be more picky with a 12-string!

My bad! My brain just defaults to 12-string!
