Winfield Vintage Case

Post by ljordan »

My first post here in a while! Need to get more active...

Anyhow, I'm looking to pick up a new case for my 360/12c63. Has anyone had any experience with Winfield Vintage cases for the 330/360? They're similar to the Ric vintage cases, though they're form fitted for more protection like the SKB cases for the non-vintage guitars. I may be transporting it for a few days at some point in the future, so the form fitting seems like a plus to me. Are they better than the standard Ric vintage case?

I recently ordered one for a 1980 325. It hasn’t arrived yet, but I am confident it will be perfect.

Curious to know how it is! They look great from the pictures.

My main concern was the tightness of the case; The SKB cases seem to be about right but I'm curious to see how the Winfield compares to that. Could it be too tight and stress the body?

To stress the body, you would literally need to put it in a massive shop vice and clamp hard.

It's fine.

Good to hear! I will be picking one up as well. I'll post my results here.
