Great pics Scott. You played great today. I loved the sound of your 4000/4001. What a great bass. Thank you everybody for being so nice to the wife and myself. Thanks Joey, and to your wife as well for all of your efforts during this show. What a great shindig. Thanks Paul for letting an old fart get up and play some "Beatles". Lets not forget why we were there. 80 years, wow, congrats Mr. Hall, and all those at Rickenbacker on this your anniversary. I truly enjoyed myself today. Everyone, thank you from my wife Carla and myself. What a great day. Mark

Nice job all the way around. Joey, Rich, Paul, Dan, Gary, Scott, and all of the other organizers did a fantastic job putting this together. It turned into a bit of a wedding panic at one point with the cake not showing up on time. John Hall's band sounded great. They were so good that I asked JH to sign a pickguard for me (he did). The Byrds Collective turned in their usual superb mini set, with Jim K, Rich, and Paul being assimilated as honorary Collectivites. I was once again impressed with how friendly and gracious the SoCal forumites and their spouses are. Any one who hasn't made it out to SoCal yet for one of these events should really try and find a way to get to the next one. I'm sure that some of the out of towners will back me up on this. What an absolutely great bunch of talented people..... Tom

Thanks for the pics Scott. Looks like a really good time. I see my 12-string made it even though I didn't. Hope it brings me a T-shirt!!

Keep the great shots coming.

Best,

s4001 wrote:Whew! I want to let it be known that there's four people responsible for all those smiling faces:

Joey & Dianne for getting the shindig together and running security and being the brain trust. Big homage their way.

Paulie for being the MC and ensuring that as many people got to play and the situation didn't devolve into a 'me and my friends' event!

John Hall for providing the PA and arranging equipment and WORKING HIS *** OFF. Also, I might add - go see Hautwerk. They are an EXCELLENT band.

I second that.....thanks to all involved. Joey and Dianne really put their heart into the event preparing for many months so thank you! Paulie taking on the MC role was critical. Great t-shirts Scott! Fun time by all and wish I could have stayed until the end.
