I know, you don't like the strap locks but they give me a great sense of security.

One thing I really like is that the neck binding covers the ends of the frets.

Paul, that rash doesn't affect the sound at all  I only notice it when I'm not playing her.

Thanks, Scotty, but you don't want to smell the breeze in this harbor.

Very nice pics, Kira!
Walnut is one of my favorite RIC finishes. I'm sure you're really enjoying that 4001.

Great photos, Kira! What camera is that as it would be nice to build a database of cameras we use that do a great job in showing off your photography skills. :D

Very nice Kira,

apart from yours being Walnut and mine being Autunmglo the two basses are very similar. My 4001 unfortunately has an Allparts bridge and tailpiece assembly on it right now but that will change in a week or so when a Rick bridge and tailpiece arrives courtesy of a very good forum friend.

Great pics too btw. :D

Jeff, I used a Kodak EasyShare C713. Cost me $89 at Walgreens, even cheaper than BestBuy. 7 megapixel! Uses AA batteries so no recharging gadgets. I'm very pleased with the camera, but if it goes into the drink I won't have a heart attack.

If I recall, Autumnglo is a two-tone burst with a high-gloss finish? The backside of mine seems very glossy (see photo) but the face is less so.

Thanks, all, for the praise. :D

It is amazing what you can do with a $89.00 camera! Using natural light always works best as I think flash indoors will produce vastly different results.

I used to shoot a lot of 35mm with my old Nikon F3's. I still have them but after seeing these pics I can't see that I'll be using them much. Only a large format camera could do better, I believe. One thing I don't like about autofocus is that you can't release the shutter at the exact moment you want to. That's OK for a still life like these, but it makes shooting portraits maddening.
