Rickenbacker 4005 lightshow

Post by Wickedbacker »

Anyone ever seen one of these before??

It doesn't come in until near the end, but it's pretty interesting. Anyone here in the video? Or have another one of these basses? I can't imagine very many being made.

Thanks. We have seen this one before, a collector or two in Japan who have these rare instruments. Not many people have seen the 4005LS bass in the flesh, as supposedly there were only five made!

Wow. Pretty amazing. I couldn't tell from the darkness, but because of the electrics and wiring, did they just do away with the whole semi-hollow feature or just the hole/opening?

How 'bout replacing those aftermarket tuners on your 4005 with the RIC vintage reverse tuners you bought two years ago first

No offense please.... I think it's lame. You say they made five? that's four too many.

Hmmm. How can calling something RIC made in very limited numbers "lame" not be offensive to someone...whether if be RIC or just people who think 4005 LS's are cool?
