Thanks to all of you.

So it appears we have here a 1990 4003S with vintage pickups configuration (toaster & horseshoe).

Take care!

It's a very nice Fireglo, and the upgrades seem to have been reasonably well done, congratulations, and welcome to the Forum.

As you can see this place is a wealth of knowledge, with all of it shared openly.

I'd be clear pointing out that the pickups were changed post-factory, unless you have evidence otherwise. IIRC the factory pickup change option on basses was only the neck pickup. Of course, with RIC, especially back then, anything was possible. Can you tell if the solder is original?

Based on the soldering job, I say those pickups weren't installed at the factory.

I have one identical to this, a 1989 4003S with vintage pickups and surround. Bought it from a forum member years ago. Great bass!
