It's a tad neck divey, so I think an XC as long scale would be a mess.

Yes, if you kept the bridge where it is, and lengthened the neck. If the bridge were moved back instead (and there's plenty of room to do so) the neck would keep its current length while losing 3 or 4 frets. I'd personally like a 32" scale.jdogric12 wrote:It's a tad neck divey, so I think an XC as long scale would be a mess.
This is not true. Please read my previous post.TTA wrote:I also like that the 4005xc is short scale. Long scale would never balance...

Any idea how many are being produced? I had my name put on one (the last of maybe 5 fireglo that long and mequade ordered). Also wondering how quickly they pump them out… aka will i get mine in 2023?
This one balanced quite nicely.TTA wrote:Long scale would never balance…
I use the same Ernie Ball Straps and have the same issue, neck fairly plunges to the floor if the strap is not restrained, it does play lovely though.jdogric12 wrote:Barely. Not a problem. It's a hollow (semi) bass. Can't have cake and eat it too. I bet if I used a stickier strap I wouldn't have even noticed, but I use the $5 Ernie Ball straps, which I love, but don't do me a whole lot of favors with neck-heavy instruments.
