Charline goes lightning...... Rock the casbar, Rock the casbah!

And a line from Peter Gabriels "Sledgehammer"
"I've been peeing in the river, I've been peeing in the river" which was in face "I've been feeding the rhythm, I've been feeding the rhythm"

Stones/It's All Over Now
What Jagger sings "Spent all my money playing her high class games'
What I use to think he sang: "Spent all my money playing her half a**ed games"

I saw his cassette tape one day, it was labeled "Pizza Burning" Having never heard of a "beast of burden" I could have sworn he was singing about pizza burning, that and I was certain is was "bathroom on the right"

I think you were right-and I don't care what the PUBLISHED lyrics are! I mean-we're talkin' "'Stones" here!

It may have been "high class" before the Stones got hold of it but I'm pretty sure you had it right in a post-Stones world. ;)

I remember a "Saturday Night Live" skit with Anthony Newley spoofing the late-night compilation CD ads. The tag line was:
"Half of the songs are the most asked-for songs of all time; so for these half-asked-for songs and more.............." You had to be there.

Last night, I pulled out Dave Barry's "Book of Bad Songs" (#1-MacArthur Park-Richard Harris). There's a chapter on "wrong" lyrics and several already cited here were included. The best new one I found:

The Beach Boys "Help Me Rhonda"

Well since you put me down,
There's been owls pukin' in my head.

I always heard Alan O'Day's "Undercover Angel" as "Undercover Angel, Midnight Tennessee" instead of "Undercover Angel, Midnight fantasy".

Hughie Lewis and the News:

The heart of Rock 'n' Roll is in Cleveland.

Actually makes sence if you think about the location of the Rock'n' Roll Museum.

I've had a laugh at my mums expense more than once!

Heard her singing Bob Marley's Jammin
She was singing ,pajamas

And a few of Prince, Little Red Corvette, was little red courgette
Raspberry beret was raspberry bouquet, cracks me up every time!

My aunts no better, heard her sing Eric Claptons Lay down Sally, only she was singing Way down South!

When i was gigging a few years ago we played this little country town in Ireland ,this ole farmer comes up and asks if we know she blew, never heard it,hows it go, he sings
The runaway train came over the hill and she blew, this sounds like a joke but its a true story! :D
