Thanks, Ron. The first I learned about the 12 saddle was from the TP model; never was much into the Byrds so I had not paid much attention to the RM model.

I am now seriously on the verge of getting one of these. It does not appear there are any FireGlo's anywhere, though, and probably not for awhile. It does seem like the shading of the FG on the 1993+ is more light red on the edges, as opposed to the deeper FGs I have been seeing on the standard Ric's. I could be wrong about that, but from what I've seen, that does appear to be the case. I would think, since the 1993+ is in the standard line, it would get the standard paint job.

Just joined the site and getting ready to order a1993 Plus. Want to make sure it warns up so it does not get damaged in shipping to Ohio.
Lots of good information on the site and really enjoy it!

Welcome, Ken.

You'll love the 1993 Plus - I have a MID and it's great.

Enjoy.

Welcome, Ken. Be sure to let the box sit unopened for 24 hours before opening. If it goes from cold to warm too quickly the finish will crack all over. Some people do steps... wait a few hours and then cut the tape... wait a few hours and take the case out... wait overnight and open the case.

A dealer in Colorodo has a jetglobin stock, it really looks sharp so going to order Monday.
The weather between us should be above freezing for a few days.
It is a good idea to go next day air or better off with ground shipping?

I just purchased one in JetGlo, and it will be here Friday. Since I live in Florida, I can probably just open it up right away. One thing I am curious about is how the three pick-ups will play together. I may want to re-wire it, but we'll see. I now own three Ric 12-strings. It's getting to be a bit of a problem !

I posted this on Facebook after I bought it at the end of 2016 but I'm not sure if I posted it here. I added the 'ol Oven Knobs to my 1993+ and put it in a vintage re-issue case. i think it adds to the vintage vibe :D

These are great guitars by the way.

Just opened my new 1993 plus last night after waiting 32 hours and 15 minutes. I just couldn’t wait 48 hours. Wow, I haven’t had a NGD like this for a long time, probably ever. I am so happy with the purchase and it is better than I expected, and I expected it to be amazing. I hesitated for a long time spending that kind of money on a 12 string guitar. It is so fun though. I keep staring at it and holding it. I wanted to sleep with it like a little kid. :D This is a 50th birthday present from my wife and Mom, what a present.

Thanks. I’m loving it. I’ve been noodling endlessly. It sounds amazing unplugged as well. Love the toasters, makes me want to get a 6 string with the same pickups.

Nice! I’m intrigued by these and there is a recently arrived Fireglo at a local shop. Unfortunately I have too many Rickenbacker 12s and 12 strings in general. Love the wider neck!
