Registry efficiency...

Post by WillyWonka »

I just joined here and am registering my 3 Rickenbackers.

All 3 are already in the registry database...

1 was purchased new from Wildwood.

1 was purchased from a member.

1 was purchased from the local Craigslist, after languishing in a storage locker for decades...

Do ya'll scour the globe? Do you have agents lurking in the shadows?

inquiring minds want to know!

The WW and the CL already have pictures from their respective sales ads, and broken links to those same defunct ads.

There are a few members here who aggressively collect serial numbers and scour anything published online.

Some feel that is a step too far, and if people wanted to register their own instruments, they could do so. Others find value in having every possible instrument included.

As long as the knowledge is used for good, and just a little bit of evil....

Alfredo:

Send a message to Peter (ADMIN) and he will assign the registry entries to your RRF account.

There are currently more than 43,000 register entries, so it isn't unusual to find your already RICs in the database.

Welcome to the forum!

He had already messaged me!

All updated and added to the registry!

I have to update one set of pics when the new pickguard is done.

I also have a roll of made in the USA stickers, so I'll get those added too.

You are not alone in feeling that way. The main concern though is someone tries to pull a scam with the info. It's happened once before. Luckily the person didn't get away with it, but not before reaching out to multiple RRF members and causing a whole kerfuffle.

Once again my new 650D is already in the system, but now with an incorrect link to a different guitar for sale on reverb.

No serial number information present in either of the ads.

Willy should you have any questions for me please don't hesitate to send a private message. :D
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
