Last (Known) Performance of Chris Curtis …

Video uploaded to You Tube 28 March 2018 by Arty Davies.

Who is Arty Davies? Below link to a bio of Liverpool-born drummer Arty Davies posted on Bill Harry’s Mersey Beat site at …

The date stamp on the video indicates Chris Curtis had less than two years to live before he passed away at the age of 63 on 28 February 2005.
By the way Chris Curtis is dressed together with the video time stamp of 23:00 hours and impromptu nature of the performance suggests to me that the group may have spotted Chris Curtis in the audience (he could well have been getting ready to leave) and invited him up to do a couple or so numbers to round off the evening. Slow tempo ballads (like Are You Lonesome Tonight) were never Chris Curtis’s strong point to begin with, his voice was always better suited when it came to belting out numbers.
