J Dog and the Argonauts - SNEAK PEEK

Post by jdogric12 »

Sneak preview: "My Perfect Disguise" using 4080 bass double tracked, 366/12 and Combo 400. Enjoy. Hopefully I'll have the 9-song album finished today, because I have lots of thank yous to write and photos to email! :)

That's great fun, Jdog! Short and sweet and very amusing lyrics. The ricks sound killer! Hope you do well with the album. :)

Thanks, gang! Yep, that's a J Dog preliminary mix. I'll do the proper test in the car, on the stereo, etc. later.

Right now, though I need an RRF vote: Keep or lose the "baby" intro??? I think it makes the song, but one of my bandmates says it's a distraction and should be left out. I can't make up my mind. HELP!

Leave it - I think it's great as-is. Great sound on the 4080!

I'm on the fence regarding Baby. Would you replace it with something else or just go right into the song?

The alternative is to eliminate it completely and start right on the regular lyrics. I'm leaning about 65% towards keeping, but I know it's wise to listen to your audience in many cases.

New proposal: 3 instead of 7 babys.

I found the baby/baby intro to be artistically startling. By that I mean it made me sit up and listen to the rest of the song. I'd keep it. Seven goes by pretty quickly. Three is a bit short, if you aim to keep the same tempo.

Dang! The link has already expired! I guess that's what I get for showing up late!

Glad to hear that the baby issue was resolved.
