Oops maybe I posted this in the wrong section, sorry. But anyway, I think it's cool here anyway.

Think the crowd might be a little photoshopped?

I don't think it's intended to look real. Just artwork that relays a concept.

Exactly. It's a movie poster, after all.

I don't mean for this to sound political.
There are a lot of things that come to mind about Mr. Carter, but Rock and Roll was never one of them.

I'll watch the film.
I like history.
I like documentaries.
I like rock n roll.
I like the premise ... a side of the 39th president I've never known.

“I wanted the film to feel like a ray of sunshine in a dark time,” she {Director Mary Wharton} adds. “If I can be so lofty, I would like it to offer some sense of hope and some reminder of the things that Jimmy Carter represents — which are truth and justice, and the dignity of individual humans around the world. Historically, that’s also what America has stood for and, hopefully, we can stand for those things again. I think that we have that within us, so I hope people are reminded of it.”

I'm not sure what was unclear about my statement. But I guess it came from a real photo after all, a quick internet search makes me think it's Marshall Tucker Band maybe? I honestly can't be bothered to dig too deep. I have real work to do today.

While this hasn't gotten political, I bet it will, and should be nuked - although the greater reason is that I don't see any Rickenbacker content. If someone watches it and spots a Rick then we would have something worthwhile to discuss here.

If nothing else, a mod should move this thread to The Others.

Nuked?

Buddy, it's just a movie. Relax.

And it's not about politics, it's about rock and roll. It's not like we're talking Trump vs Biden here. Isnot like Jimmy Carter is running for president again, is it? And yes, I apologize for having started the thread in the General section, not in the offtopic area (the others).

If I may ask, let's not make this thread political, because it is not intended to be. It was just a movie reccomendation.

That's the idea, I think.

Thanks for posting - did not know about this, but will definitely look out for a chance to see it. I guess for now it requires a CNN/cable subscription.

Last time I checked, Rickenbackers were pretty useful to play rock n roll and that's what the movie is all about, but indeed: I should have posted it in the Others section...

Anyway, since you're a mod, will you please move the thread?
